Action Center

The Action Center is the central location to view alerts, notifications, and all of your settings including changing from Tablet to Desktop mode. Slide your finger inward from the right edge of the screen to bring up the Action Center. Slide your finger back towards the edge to hide the Action Center.

Task Bar Overview

  • Power: Restart > Shutdown > Sleep

  • All Apps: View all apps arranged alphabetically

  • Start Menu: View colorful static and live tiles. Drag along the edges to resize

  • Search the Web: Use the search box to search a specific request

  • Task View: View all open apps at one time on screen

  • Edge: Microsoft Edge (replaces Internet Explorer)

  • File Manager: View and access folders and files

  • Window Store: Free and for purchase applications from games to e-Books

  • Battery Level: View percentage of battery level and time remaining. Adjust power saving and display settings 

  • WiFi: View available networks and turn Airplane mode on or off

  • Volume: Adjust volume level

  • Action Center: View alerts, messages, security, and maintenance notifications

  • Keyboard: Display the virtual keyboard

  • Date & Time : Adjust date and time settings

Apps Menu

To display the convenient and easy to use Apps menu, tap or click the ____   All Apps button in the Start Menu.  Launch apps that are set up alphabetically. Slide your finger or scroll up and down to view all apps on your tablet.


Add / Remove / Resize Apps

You can reconfigure Tiles within the Start Menu quite easily. To create, or pin a tile from an app located in the App Menu, select it then drag and place the tile in the preferred location. To adjust the tile size or to remove (unpin) it, tap or click and hold for one second to display available options.
