Connecting to WiFi

To connect to the internet, use email, or download music and videos, you must connect the tablet via a broadband Wi-Fi network and wireless router that supports Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n. You need to know the name of your network (SSID) and password. 

NOTE: Configure your router to accept 802.00/b/g connections as well.

  IMPORTANT NOTICE : Your tablet will download software updates whenyou connect to WiFi the first time. Resources from the tablet are directed to download all of these updates, so performance may be affected during this time. It is recommended to allow the tablet to download these updates completely before use.

Tap on WiFi to turn the WiFi setting on.  The tablet will scan for available WiFi networks within range of your current location. Secured networks will have a Lock icon shown next to the wireless symbol. Tap on the name of your wireless network and enter the password (if applicable). Once connected, the tablet will remember your settings. 

NOTE: When WiFi is not in use, turnoff the setting in order to conserve battery life.
